Based in Dallas, Robert Hamilton is an artist and photographer and Cynthia Mulcahy is an artist, curator, and cultural producer. Cynthia founded Mulcahy Modern in 1995 as a contemporary art exhibition program in Dallas, Texas. After fourteen years as a public space, Mulcahy Modern is currently focused on independent curatorial projects and free urban public art projects.
Recent projects include the exhibition Engines of War curated by Charles Dee Mitchell and Cynthia Mulcahy for Klemens Gasser & Tanja Grunert, Inc. in Chelsea, NYC in 2013 and Seventeen Hundred Seeds, a site-specific, land art project collaboration between Robert Hamilton and Cynthia Mulcahy in Dallas in 2012.
Other recent curatorial projects include an outdoor seasonal dance, Square Dance: A Community Project at the Trinity River Audubon Center in Dallas in November 2011, generously funded by an Idea Fund Grant from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts awarded to co-curators Leila Grothe and Cynthia Mulcahy in 2011.
